Wishlist Wednesday #6

Wishlist Wednesday is a book blog hop where we will post about one book per week that has been on our wishlist for some time, or just added (it’s entirely up to you), that we can’t wait to get off the wishlist and onto our wonderful shelves. It is hosted by Dani of Pen to Paper.

I wish… I wish… I wish to have…

Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

Goodreads Synopsis:

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth’s magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires–the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a Dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.

After two years of freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir’s Academy, where vampire royalty and their guardians-to-be prepare for a life fraught with danger. Rose and Lissa must navigate their treacherous world and never once let their guard down, lest the evil undead make Lissa one of them forever. But soon Rose finds herself gripped by temptation of forbidden love, leaving Lissa exposed to Strigoi attack…. Now she must choose between the best friend she lives for, and the man she can’t live without.

A lot of you might be shocked to know that I haven’t read or taken any interest in reading this particular series until the movie came out (which I haven’t watched BTW). Yes, I am that kind of guy who jumps into the bandwagon when a book is being adapted to a movie. However I hear that this series is really good and I think the premise sounds cool. P.S. I really like the movie tie-in edition of this book better than the original cover. It looks awesome plus it has a movie poster inside!

How about you guys, what are you wishing for this Wednesday?

Happy Reading,

I read it and didn't like it, but people say the first book is really bad, so I'm going to try to read the second one at some point. 🙂
    Hope you get this soon!

I have heard the same reactions (even those who really love the series hated the first book)! Thanks for visiting my WW! 🙂
