Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. |
This list was really tough to do because I’ve read so many great books so far and it is so hard to dwindle it down to just ten. Oh well here we go! (Note: I will be putting trilogies/series in here just because I feel like it.)
1) Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
This is my spirit animal. I just felt the connection between me and the main character! Fave book of the year (so far).
2) The Infernal Devices Trilogy by Cassandra Clare
This epic love story is just so addicting! Tessa, Will and Jem is the perfect epitome of a love triangle!
3) Uglies Series by Scott Westerfeld
My favorite dystopian novel ever! Tally Youngblood’s saga is a tale you will never forget.
4) Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
The cutest book I have ever read so far this year, Anna and Etienne’s whirlwind of a story is pretty awesome.
5) Coin Heist by Elisa Ludwig
The biggest literary surprise I’ve ever had this year. This book was really fun and entertaining to read!
6) Burn for Burn + Fire with Fire by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian
Kat, Lillia and Mary’s vengeance story just met my expectations and I am so excited for the last book in the series.
7) Just One Day + Just One Year + Just One Night by Gayle Forman
A book about self-discovery and love, Allison and Willem’s story just left it imprint on my heart.
8) Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children + Hollow City by Ransom Riggs
The creepy pictures didn’t justify the whimsy of these books. The world is fascinating and the characters are all interesting.
9) Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Celaena Sardothien is probably my favorite female lead ever. Her sass and wit just won me over. I am in love with her!
10) Shatter Me Trilogy by Tahereh Mafi
Juliette was incredibly whiny in the first two books, but I still felt the power of the message the whole series conveyed and I am really glad that I pursued this book because I ended up liking it.

Happy Reading,
This is probably my favourite list I've seen so far. I especially LOVED the TID and the Shatter Me series. I still have yet to read Throne of Glass, but if you love it hey, maybe I will too. 🙂

You should definitely read Throne of Glass although I will say you shouldn't expect too much action in it but overall it was a good book!
Thanks for visiting my TTT! 😀

YOU SHOULD start the TID trilogy! I am the biggest fan of the TMI series though.
TEAM KENJI FOR LIFE! That dude is the best character in the entire trilogy! If there was a novella or full blown novel written on his POV, I will definitely buy it! :))

*I am NOT the biggest fan of the TMI series though.

I really liked the third book but I see where you're coming from. It didn't have that much action in it considering that it is the last book. Thanks for visiting my TTT. 😀

Great picks. So happy to see so many series that I am planning to read have been good enough to make it onto your list: Throne of Glass, Shatter Me & Burn for Burn particularly. I remember loving the Uglies series when I read it, really need to do a reread of that series.

Yeey, a male book blogger! You have a pretty design.
I really want to check out Burn for Burn as well as Miss Peregrine’s. I’ve recently read and reviewed the Shatter Me series, too. I agree with you on Juliette being whiny in the first two books. I actually didn’t like Shatter Me at all when I read it for the first time back in 2012, but I picked it up once more, still wasn’t impressed with it, but fell in love with the sequels (and Warner …).

I'm about to read my first Rainbow Rowell, I'm so excited! I've read the Uglies series and I think it's such an interesting setting for a world, and although I read it a long time ago I'm starting to realize what a point it's making about modern culture. I should actually read that one again.

Thank you very much!
I definitely recommend those books! They're really fun, although Burn for Burn was kind of cliche I still enjoyed it. Hehehe Warner was the most interesting character in the trilogy! 😀

What Rainbow Rowell are you reading? I am so happy for you! trust me her writing style is really comforting and real, you'll enjoy it!
YES! The Uglies series is the most plausible dystopian novel I've encountered. It has meanings and themes that really resonates with us, especially now with the age of social media.
